Trevor’s early career included director/senior executive international roles at: St. Regis, where he led creation of new businesses including a chain of over 150 DIY superstores and international development of the travel and international expansion of the Leisure Business. Headhunted into British Gas, just prior to privatisation, he led new product and market development followed by a major retail distribution review. At BT he was responsible for the strategy of new businesses including mobile, Cable & Satellite TV, videoconferencing and electronic communications including email. Joining ntl, he created and launched a telecoms business now operating as Virgin Media.

Changing career, he spent thirty years as Executive Director, Partner or Senior Partner at global consulting firms including E&Y, Cap Gemini and Arthur D Little before being joining Logica as Global Head of Consulting. Working in over 150 countries, he advised the top 500 companies in the World, governments, regulatory bodies and the World Bank. Clients included Apple, BP, Ford Motor Company, Honda, Microsoft, Samsung, Toyota, VW Group and Vodafone. He also worked on multi-Billion Pound mergers and acquisitions.

Following gaining his Diploma in Marketing and a post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies, Trevor was invited, by Professor Martyn Davis, to be a visiting lecturer, for CAM & CIM subjects at the College of Distributives Trades – teaching many students, who years later became Marketors. He became a visiting lecture/professor at City, London Metropolitan and Middlesex Universities and Martran College. He also served, for many years, an examiner for the CIM, deputy chief examiner for the MRS and chief examiner for the CAM Foundation.

Trevor’s passion for the City and Livery stretches back over twenty years. A Past President of the City Livery Club and Ward Clubs, past member of the Financial Services Group of Livery Companies and many other leading City organisations, he has acted as agent on several Shrieval, Aldermanic and Common Council Elections. For many years he served as a school governor, chairman or trustee of several City charities (including the Marketors’ Trust) and remains heavily involved in the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. His charitable efforts through activities such as abseiling has raised over £3 million for charity.

He studied, in the UK and America, quantitative subjects including Economics, Statistics and Econometrics followed by Behavioural and Cognitive Psychology. In addition, he holds Masters Degrees in Business Studies and Management Practice, a PhD and a DBA.

Trevor is married to Carole, a retired student careers adviser, with two daughters and three grandchildren. After squashing his daughters into the rear of his Porsche 911, for a long journey, he sadly had to part with the car! Trevor enjoys classical music, fine wines and motor racing.
