Glyn’s career has been primarily within the building products manufacturing sector. From his late 20’s he has held positions of Sales Director, Marketing Director, Managing Director and CEO of major brands within this sector, including Tarmac and CRH. He left corporate life in 2008 and now owns 6 SME’s operating in 30 countries.

Whilst his career has been within the construction industry, his passion has always been education and the transfer of knowledge, particularly to SME’s. He trained as a teacher and is now a Member of a three school Academy Trust in Shropshire. Glyn completed a Diploma in Marketing with the CIM and has been a Fellow of the CIM for over 20 years. Upon completing his MBA with the Open University (OU), he has tutored MBA students for the OU for over 30 years. He has also supervised MBA/MSc students at the University of Sheffield and given guest lectures at Esade Business School in Spain and Alba University in Greece.

He has just completed a Doctorate at Sheffield Business School about facilitating growth in SMEs. He commenced this after writing and delivering business growth programmes across Europe funded by Erasmus, UKCES and the European Regional Business funds, which have all been independently assessed as ‘programmes of excellence’ in terms of impact.

Glyn is married and his wife is also a successful entrepreneur. They have two children and three grandchildren.

Glyn’s ultimate passion is marketing and the added value this can bring to any business, coupled with the fellowship mixing with people who share this passion brings into your life.
