Marketing & Communications Industry Annual Carol Service

The festive season is fast approaching and with it, one of those not-to-be-missed events - namely the Marketing & Communications Industry Christmas Carol Service at St. Bride’s Church.

This will take place on Monday 10th December at 6.00pm. Members and their family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in this memorable occasion.

The service will include both traditional and modern carols, readings and music as well as an appearance by the renowned St. Bride’s Choir. The guest speaker will be cultural commentator Peter York, President of The Media Society.

Author, broadcaster, journalist, management consultant and cultural commenter, York has been at the cutting edge of fashion since writing for Harpers and Queen in the 1970’s; later becoming style editor and penning The Official Sloane Ranger Handbook with Ann Barr.

In an eclectic career, York was appointed as a committee chairman at the Department of Trade and Industry in the 1980’s, has presented a sixty-minute one man show’ How to Become a Nicer Type of Person’ at the Edinburgh Fringe and in London, his latest subject was hipsters, a phenomenon he examined on BBC Four.

Following the service, a reception will be held at All Bar One (a short walk away) which will include drinks and finger food, giving members and their guests an opportunity to enjoy a convivial evening.

Admission to the church is free. The cost of the post-carols reception is £30 (inc VAT). Please use this form to indicate if you would like to attend the service and how many guests you would like to bring; and, if relevant, whether you would like to attend the reception afterwards.
