The Master's Theme for the Worshipful Company of Marketors in 2010 is Sustainability
Venetia Howes – a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing -was installed as Master of the Marketors, the City livery company for marketing professionals, whose objectives include the promotion of excellence in marketing practice and education.
Her year’s theme is Sustainability, which includes not only the environment and social responsibility, but also those things that contribute to the long-term prosperity of organisations, such as governance, brand, reputation and developing people.
The new Master's speech in response to the guest speaker, Pauline Davies, was given at the Installation dinner at the Stationers' Hall on January 21 2010. You can read it here.
About Venetia Howes
Venetia’s career was initially in general marketing, progressively specialising in managing corporate brand, reputation and communications. Until recently she was accountable to the Board at Royal Dutch Shell plc for corporate brand strategy and its implementation across the Shell group of companies. Venetia is now self-employed, building a portfolio of advisory, public speaking and non-executive work.
