FELLOWSHIP (incorporating LIVERY)

To support the new strategic aims of the Company, specifically to foster fellowship amongst the membership, in 2013 the Fellowship Committee will incorporate the Livery Committee within its structure.

The role of the new committee, working closely with the Membership Committee, is to welcome new Freemen into the Company and to encourage fellowship between members. The committee works closely with the Events Committee, to organise Fellowship events to engage more fully with members, explaining the aims and structure of the Company and the routes to fuller involvement, gaining the Freedom of the City of London and Livery of the Company.

All Freemen are encouraged to apply for admission to the Livery after gaining the Freedom of the City. The Livery Committee normally expects Freemen to have been in the Company for twelve months before applying. Livery of the Company is restricted to 300 and when full, admission becomes subject to a vacancy occurring.

Applying for the Livery

If you are interested in applying or finding out more information, do contact the Chairman of the Fellowship Committee. It is a simple process involving a short interview. To become a Liveryman, a Freeman must demonstrate their commitment to the Company, e.g. attending events, joining committees and introducing new members. Contributing to the Marketors’ Trust is also taken into consideration.
